The village of Mafra was occupied by Moors for 436 years, leaving few traces. A wind orchestra fantasy explores two themes from an imaginary folklore reflecting this history. One theme is reminiscent of the mourisca, an ancient North African dance.

MUSICAR
The MUSICAR project, initiated by the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa, aimed to enhance musical education for blind, visually impaired, and deaf students. Running from February to November 2023, it included workshops, training, and a final concert featuring notable composers.
