PROGRAM NOTES
After a analysis of Count Basie’s theme, The Queen Bee, with Sammy Nestico arrangement, I decided to compose a piece resulting from that learning. This small piece is my humble tribute to both masters. It is also dedicated to a eternal believer and great representative of this musical universe in Portugal, the maestro Jorge Costa Pinto.

Após uma análise ao tema de Count Basie, The Queen Bee, com arranjo de Sammy Nestico, decidi compor algo que fosse fruto da aprendizagem retirada dessa análise. Esta pequena peça é a minha humilde homenagem a ambos os mestres. É também dedicada a um eterno crente e grande representante deste universo musical em Portugal, ao maestro Jorge Costa Pinto.
