🇵🇹 Na base deste Projeto está uma leitura pessoal sobre a Música Popular Portuguesa, e sobre a forma como esta deveria estar inserida na sociedade moderna.

A criação musical tem evoluído ao longo dos últimos anos, apontando cada vez mais para uma perspetiva de multiplicidade, que, em si se encontra em constante desenvolvimento, fazendo com que a criação musical, seja em grande parte resultado das inúmeras relações e interações entre os diferentes agentes envolvidos num processo desta natureza. Estes agentes poderão passar pelo compositor da obra, pelo intérprete para aquela performance, pelo produtor daquele disco, entre muitos outros que poderão surgir noutras perspetivas. Por isso, em pleno séc. XXI, podemos afirmar que a criação musical resulta da soma de uma série de contribuições. Neste âmbito, e inerente a esta pluralidade, têm surgido novas práticas e ferramentas, principalmente ligadas ao desenvolvimento tecnológico, que cada vez mais se vão enraizando nos diferentes processos da criação musical, diversificando assim as contribuições dos possíveis agentes envolvidos.

De toda a multiplicidade intrínseca a esta realidade, resultam novas formas de expressão musical, esbatendo-se assim, fronteiras antes intransponíveis e pondo em comunicação universos antes ferreamente segregados. É esta a leitura que subjaz a este projeto, que tem como objetivo a publicação de diversos temas tradicionais/populares, acreditando que estes possam vir a contribuir para a aproximação da expressão musical dos nossos dias, a esta parte do património imaterial nacional. É objetivo deste também, a promoção da identidade cultural Portuguesa.

🇬🇧 The base of this Project is a personal reading about Portuguese Popular Music, and how it should be inserted in modern society.

Music creation has evolved over the last few years, pointing more and more to a perspective of multiplicity, which in itself is in constant development, making music creation largely the result of the countless relationships and interactions between the different agents involved in a process of this nature. These agents may pass through the composer of the work, the interpreter for that performance, the producer of that record, among many others that may arise from other perspectives. Therefore, in the 21st century, we can say that musical creation results from the sum of a series of contributions. In this context, and inherent to this plurality, new practices and tools have emerged, mainly linked to technological development, which are increasingly rooted in the different processes of musical creation, thus diversifying the contributions of the possible agents involved.

From all the multiplicity intrinsic to this reality, new forms of musical expression result, thus blurring boundaries previously insurmountable and putting into communication universes previously fiercely segregated. This is the reading that underlies this project, which aims to publish various traditional/popular themes, believing that these may contribute to bringing together today’s musical expression, this part of the national intangible heritage. Also an objective, is the promotion of the Portuguese cultural identity.

🇵🇹 na génese deste disco encontramos como principal tecnologia a servir o processo de criação, o YDS-150 da YAHAMA. Sendo este determinante em toda a concepção, o resultado é um disco singular em inúmeros aspetos. “de um Cancioneiro Popular” é também um disco muito pessoal.

🇬🇧 at the core of this album, we find the YDS-150 from YAMAHA as the primary technology driving the creation process. This instrument played a crucial role in the entire conception, resulting in an album that is unique in many aspects. “de um Cancioneiro Popular” is also a very personal album.
